What's Happening This Month in Pocatello

By Ellen Lalande

Spring is the start of Event Season, and here at Phil Meador we’re keeping busy with our preparation for all the upcoming activities in Pocatello!

Two weeks ago, we joined tons of local (and some not-so-local) car enthusiasts at Holt Arena for Chrome in the Dome. This particular event is always a blast, since we get out and about to talk cars with people who aren’t necessarily in the market. It also gives us a chance to contribute back to ISU students, with proceeds funding activities for students in the College of Technology. I found myself pretty impressed with the turn-out, and took lots of pictures to share – You can see them on Phil Meador Toyota's Facebook page.

We also took part in Spring Fair last weekend, giving us the opportunity to show the community what we could do to add a personal touch to people's existing vehicles with help from our Parts & Accessories Departments

The turn-out at both events has been amazing, and we are looking forward to all the upcoming local activities in the next few weeks!

April 11th
  • Ellis Elementary's 5k Family Run/Walk
    • 100% of the proceeds from this 5k Run/Walk benefit the students, and goes towards the myON and Accelerated Reading programs, field trips, and upgrades for classroom technology.
  • Pocatello Motocross Park Round #1 Race
    • Since 2003, PMXP has offered a fun and exciting riding experience for people of all ages. The track has an awesome and dedicated group of people to help make it what it is, aiming to provide a great racing environment for riders in the community.
  • Phil Meador Toyota's Grand Opening Event
    • You've heard of our big move, now stop by for some food, fun, and live entertainment! Find out more on our website, and stay in the know by adding our Facebook event to your calendar!
April 18th
  • Portneuf Valley Environmental Fair
    • Learn about small steps you can take at home, work, school, and on the road to improve our local environment. The fair is FREE and has something for everyone—just ask one of the over 5,000 attendees from last year. Bring your friends and family and enjoy dozens of hands-on activities, pick up green goodies, listen to great live music, and enjoy a free Idaho baked potato, hot dog, or freeze-dried ice cream. This community event is sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and local government agencies.
April 25th
  • 35th Annual Bengal Auction
    • Proceeds from this event benefit ISU student-athlete scholarships. You don't have to be a member of the Bengal Athletic Booster Club to join in the fun!
Ellen joined the Phil Meador family in September of 2013 as the Online Community Manager. Prior to that, she tweeted on behalf of Ford Motor Company, where she developed a passion for helping others navigate the process of finding the right vehicle for them and improving dealer/customer relationships. Ellen moved to Idaho in April of 2013 from Central Florida, and enjoys exploring all the West has to offer.
